Founded in 1885, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology has a proud heritage of excellence in preparing graduates to serve as leaders in engineering and science.
The university provides undergraduate and graduate degrees in science, engineering, and interdisciplinary sciences. There are 16 academic departments, which feature more than 35 degree programs at the baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral levels.
