Devereaux Library in the heart of campus is home to books, periodicals, and electronic information - databases that are critical to your School of Mines success.

The four-story building provides a wide variety of resources and services for students, faculty, staff, and the community. The library's collection supports the entire range of academic disciplines, with a primary focus on science and engineering. It contains nearly 200,000 volumes and facilitates access to multiple online databases.

Available for use at the library:

  • Copiers
  • Microform readers and printers
  • Computer terminals for library research
  • Computer lab for students
  • Fax machine for campus related business
  • CD, DVD, and VHS players for in-house use
  • Replacement batteries for TabletPCs

Study areas are located throughout the library's four floors:

  • Individual study and group carrels
  • Study tables
  • Group study tables
  • Private study rooms for individuals or small groups
  • Downtime - an area to relax with soft furniture and popular reading materials
  • i-hub - the library's electronic information center
