Computer Science

As part of the College of Engineering, the computer science curriculum at the School of Mines prepares students to enter a dynamic and rapidly changing field as a competent computer scientist, capable in all phases of software development including design, development, and testing.
 
The department has a variety of computer platforms available, including an extensive PC network, a Linux lab, and a lab equipped with SunRays tied to three Sun Enterprise 450 servers. The department encourages its students to use the computer facilities for the creative and efficient solution of scientific and engineering problems.
