Private Student Loans

Larger banking institutions, such as Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, College Loan Corporation (CLC) and Citibank, offer private loan programs to further assist students who are unable to obtain sufficient Federal Student Aid in order to attend college. If you do not have any type of credit history, or you have had credit problems in the past, you will have to have to have a creditworthy cosigner. Restrictions to the amount you can borrow each year apply. Click on each of the lender names above to see information about their alternative loan programs.

Students from Minnesota should review the information that is available for the Minnesota SELF Loan Program, an alternative loan program for Minnesota residents.
