WELCOME to the WISE Program
at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. When you are accepted to the
School of Mines you automatically become a member of WISE. You will have the
opportunity to become as involved as you want. Explore this site to discover the

MISSION
To recruit, retain, and
advance women students, faculty and staff in all Science, Technology,
Engineering and Math (STEM) endeavors.
GOALS
To raise the awareness,
provide career information and encouragement to pre-college students in the
science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.
To increase the pool of
qualified women in the STEM fields by recruiting, supporting and retaining them
as students at the School of Mines.
To provide women
undergraduates, graduates, and faculty with resources and services that will
enable their success in academic and professional pursuits.
To offer support to
students, staff and faculty that focus on women’s issues and skill building.
