The Tech Learning Center, or TLC, provides free tutoring in all the core subjects – math, chemistry, computer science, English, and physics, as well as biology and other subjects depending upon the tutors’ area of expertise. Any student enrolled in South Dakota universities is welcome to receive tutoring at the TLC.
In addition to the Tech Learning Center, the School of Mines has several free tutoring services available to students:
- The Assistive Technologies (ADA) Lab
- The Chemistry Learning Center (CLC)
- Sunday evening tutoring provided by Alpha Chi Sigma (AXE) chemistry/chemical engineering fraternity
- Wednesday evening tutoring provided by the Honor Society for Electrical and Computer Engineering students (HKN)
- The FIRST program available through Residence Life
